Registering is free and requires only a username and password (no email address is required) and allows you to have bookmarks. However, if you use an email address as your username, you can recover your password if you ever forget it.
Once registered, you will see 5 colored bookmarks on the left of the page. On any chapter, dragged the desired bookmark to the paragraph you want bookmarked and drop it there, and the bookmark will be set.
On tablets and mobile devices, the bookmarks are only displayed after clicking the link at the top.
So you've found my little library. If you're like me, and love books, and savor the thrill of finding those rich treasures hidden away in musty old book shops and quaint small town libraries, then you'll absolutely love this site. I've collected as many of the wonderful, public-domain books that I can find, and have attempted to present them in as relaxed and realistic way as possible. I've tried my best to make the pages look like actual pages from a book. If I could put that wonderful old-book smell into code, I'd do it.
Feel free to browse to your heart's content, and when you find one you want to read, make sure to register to be able to take advantage of the bookmark feature, as well as the other customizations available.
So, enjoy...
